Dr Bipasha Chakrabarty
Dr Chakrabarty has a wide experience in a variety of oncological pathology, especially Gastrointestinal Tumour Pathology. She is also a member of the UK & Ireland and European Neuroendocrine Tumour Society and is Departmental IT lead and a member of the Trust Local negotiating Committee.
She is the Pathology lead for the Trust Gastrointestinal Disease Group (mainly in peritoneal surface tumours of colorectal/appendiceal origin and pseudomyxoma, the Christie being one of only two NCG national specialist treatment centres for these conditions. Pathology Lead for the regional GI Neuroendocrine Tumour Service (certified by the European Neuroendocrine Tumour Society as a Centre of Excellence). Network Pathology Lead for Anal Cancers Invitations to speak on appendiceal and neuroendocrine tumours and Pseudomyxoma at regional forums.
